The night at a glance

Gates open
Gold coin donation at every gate, eftpos available. Volunteers hand out candles, one per two people.
6.30pm
Pre-show entertainment
Live music on the main stage while you picnic and settle in.
8.00pm
The variety show
Carols, sing-alongs, kapa haka, brass, and a visit from Santa.
9.35pm
Fireworks spectacular
The finale over the lake: loud, bright and unmissable.

Park lighting guides your exit to Fillis Street. Leave only footprints.
The venue
The Bowl of Brooklands: a stage on a lake, a hillside for a grandstand
Built by the community in 1957 inside Pukekura Park, it's one of the world's great natural amphitheatres, and every December it fills with candlelight.
